Back by popular demand, one full hour with special guest Les Moore as he outlines Five Factors to Consider when starting a business.
Les Moore, the company's founder started his professional career in 1985 with Deloitte & Touche, LLP, in the tax department where he serviced small to medium-sized businesses and individuals in the areas of tax planning, tax compliance and accounting services. He later joined Unisys Corporation as an international tax analyst before leaving to start his own accounting firm. He later sold his firm and relocated to Florida. Les later joined the Boca Raton firm of Grau & Company where he remained until 2004 when the company underwent and organizational division. Les continued his relationship with his former firm as a consultant for tax services.

About our Guest
Les Moore, the company's founder started his professional career in 1985 with Deloitte & Touche, LLP, in the tax department where he serviced small to medium-sized businesses and individuals in the areas of tax planning, tax compliance and accounting services. He later joined Unisys Corporation as an international tax analyst before leaving to start his own accounting firm. He later sold his firm and relocated to Florida. Les continued his relationship with his former firm as a consultant for tax services.
Les holds a CPA license in Florida, a Master of Taxation degree and Master's certificate of Specialization in Entrepreneurship with Nova Southeastern University. As part of his commitment towards providing his clients with the most current tax law information, Les maintains a membership in both the American and Florida Institute of Certified Public Accountants and The National Society of Tax Professionals. He also attends various seminars throughout the year in order to stay abreast of current tax and accounting developments.

NABWIC TALKS with Priscilla Sweeney on Doing Business in Memphis on the Federal Level
Priscilla G. Sweeney became the District Chief of Contracting for the Memphis District in Nov 2011. Prior to becoming the DCC for the Memphis District Priscilla was the Chief of AE/Construction Branch where she was responsible for over $200M construction program.
Priscilla started her Contracting career in 1987 when she enlisted into the Air Force as a contracting specialist. In 1992 she enlisted in the 164th Airlift Wing, serving as the Base Contracting Officer until Aug 2004. In Aug 2004 Priscilla accepted a job with the USACE Memphis District as a contracting specialist, working her way up as the District Chief of Contracting. She continued her military career as a reservist and retired in Jan 2015 at the rank of Senior Master Sergeant. She has a Defense Acquisition Workforce Improvement Act (DAWIA) Level 3 and is skill level 9 qualified as Base Contracting Officer by the Air Force. Her awards include the Superior Civilian Service Award, the Army Commander’s Awards for Civilian Services, and both the Army and Air Force Achievement Medals.

NABWIC Talks with Nina Cook, Supply Chain Site Director at PepsiCo - Frito-Lay North America. Nina is a proven leader with broad functional experience and a track record of creative problem solving while motivating teams to achieve unprecedented results.
Nina has 15 years’ experience leading in diverse roles of increasing responsibility within Supply Chain, In Market Operations, and Change Management Projects. Currently leads a PepsiCo/Frito-Lay Plant of over 500 people to make and move products safely, efficiently, of the highest quality and delivering top tier service to our sales partners.She has supported and led teams in delivering volume growth and better than plan performance results while successfully executed major business changes inline startups, automation, and conversions. In addition, she is also affiliates of several business and networking organizations supporting the organization's Diversity & Inclusion agenda as part of the Network of Executive Women Leadership and National Women of Color Leadership team. She is a proud member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. Nina was also the recipient of a National Inclusion award with PepsiCo.
Nina holds a B.S. in Electrical Engineering from Alabama A&M University and an MBA from the University of North Alabama. Nina has been married to her husband Cedric for 10 years and has a son Cedric Jr (CJ), daughter Chloe and dog Cod.

Nicole Allen is on a mission to help real estate developers build and grow profitable businesses. Trained as a Toxicology and Epidemiologist she has a unique 17-year background in communication, business development, and project management on multimillion-dollar development projects. Her expertise as a Scientist and specialization in Housing has made me uniquely positioned to provide creative solutions to her clients. As CEO, Allen-Norris Permitting and Inspections, Ms Allen utilize her expertise in building code development, adoption, and enforcement to provides strategic leadership, collaborative engagement, and financial guidance for the company. Because of her passion for real estate development, Ms Allen also serves in a volunteer position as the President of the National Capital Area of NABWIC. In this role, she provides advocacy, educational resources, specialized training, networking, and business development expertise to women-owned businesses in the construction industry.
