Mayor Johnny Ford, is a prominent political leader. He graduated from Knoxville College and later earned an M.P.A. from Auburn University. Ford served in various roles, including director of the Model Cities Program and state representative. He became Tuskegee's first black mayor in 1972, co-founded the Southern Conference of Black Mayors, and established the World Conference of Mayors in 1984. He has a rich history of leadership, from presidential campaigns to community service, earning him an honorary doctorate and a lasting legacy in Alabama politics.

Join us on this episode as we dive into the world of legal expertise in construction and corporate matters with our esteemed guest, Nadia T. Sangster. With an extensive background in contract drafting, review, and litigation, Nadia brings a wealth of knowledge to the table.
Her practice includes routinely negotiating, drafting, and reviewing commercial, planning, and programming consultant agreements, architectural/engineering/construction management agreements, proposal/bid documents, major equipment procurement contracts, federal procurement and construction contracts for clients in the public and private sectors. In the public sector, she has resolved and litigated claims arising out of capital improvement projects (Water Services, Parks & Recreations, and Aviation Departments.).
In the private sector, Ms. Sangster successfully negotiated the terms of multimillion-dollar projects and has extensive experience in overseeing, managing, drafting, and negotiating a wide range of contracts for private and public schools, including pre-K to higher institutions of learning. Her work in this sphere has led to millions of dollars for starting pre-K and after-school programs as well as reducing spending costs through negotiations for an Ivy League university.

In our upcoming episode, we are thrilled to host a trailblazer in the drone technology industry, Steffanie Rivers. We will dive into Steffanie's unique journey in the drone industry, discuss her innovative work at TCB Drones, LLC, and learn about her vision for the future of drone technology. As the CEO of TCB Drones, LLC, Steffanie holds the distinction of being the first Black woman in Texas to own a drone technology company. An FAA-certified drone pilot, her firm offers a range of services from aerial inspections of infrastructure and creating 3-D digital models, to developing a drone curriculum aimed at educating the next generation of drone pilots.
When not engaged in contract work, Steffanie uses her drone expertise to capture breathtaking videos of North American skylines. These visuals have graced various platforms including movies, commercials, and other productions. Beyond her work with drones, Steffanie holds a Master's Degree in Journalism and Public Affairs, is a certified scuba diver, and an avid traveler. A proud NABWIC member since 2022, she embodies the spirit of innovation and adventure that drives our community forward.

Virginia Murphy, a woman of color, is the CEO/Owner of Waste Water Industrial Solutions (WWIS). With 20 years of corporate experience and 15 years in education, she started WWIS to build wastewater treatment equipment and provide metal fabrication. Through her program, "DIRTY HANDS, CLEAN MONEY," she trains young men in welding, helping them become millwrights. Recognized for her work, Virginia was invited to the White House to discuss skilled trades. She supports women and minority business owners, and her dedication to service has earned her the reputation of an "Agent of Change" in Atlanta. Virginia remains committed to making a difference and defying industry stereotypes.
