In this episode of NABWIC Talks, we are honored to feature a powerhouse panel of three incredible women from the Black Ladies of Construction (BLOC). Each of these leaders is making a significant impact in the construction and real estate industries, focused on community empowerment, equitable development, and mentorship. Panelists: IyaSokoya Karade – As the Program Manager for NJBUILD, IyaSokoya provides essential support to workforce development programs aimed at empowering underserved communities. Through her role at BLOC, she builds strong relationships with construction employers, advocating for job opportunities for women, minorities, and veterans in the industry. Natasha Long – Chairwoman of The BLOC Society & SD Inc., Natasha is a trailblazing community and real estate developer. She leads both for-profit and non-profit initiatives with a focus on sustainable, equitable development. Natasha is committed to creating safe, empowering spaces for women and girls of color, addressing systemic challenges, and fostering success within marginalized communities. Natalie Prisock – Natalie is a highly accomplished real estate developer, attorney, and investor.
