NABWIC CELEBRATES MOMS IN CONSTRUCTION WITH MARK BANKS, REMEMBERING WANDA BANKS

Mark G. Banks is a senior official with over 18 years of Federal Service and over 36 years of experience as a senior project executive and official leading strategic construction management projects in the National Capital Region and around the country. In this interview Mark recalls the legacy and heritage he recieved from his mother Wanda J. Banks, a mom in construction and a titan in the construction industry. Wanda J. Banks-Schrock founded WJB and Associates, a multifaceted General Construction and consulting company, Prior to founding WJB and Associates, Mrs. Banks-Shrock was employed in S3 (Systems, Science and Software). A serial entrepreneur, she established a record shop, maintenance company, nightclub restaurants, and was a live entertainment promoter. She lived life on her own terms, constantly reinventing herself. Her “let’s get it done” attitude earned her much respect in the world of business.
